What to Do in Paris with Kids This November

Paris with kids in November can feel a little chilly at first glance, but there’s actually so much to do — and I’ve done the research so you don’t have to. Whether you’re looking for indoor adventures to escape the cold, outdoor strolls through festive lights, or immersive exhibitions that will keep the little ones wide-eyed, there’s something for every family. Here are my favourite ideas to make the most of the month with kids in Paris.

I write these guides each month with the latest events, so be sure to check back in December for my lineup of things to do with kids in Paris next month.

1. Get splattered in colour at Paint Invaders

paint invaders-paris november kids-the knowlege nuggets

A new immersive art space has opened in Paris and it’s all about getting messy. Paint Invaders, which opened on 24 October 2025, lets both kids (from age six) and adults step into a fluorescent world where paint is projected, sprayed, and splashed in every direction.

Located in the 9th arrondissement, this one-hour experience lets you create your own 50x50cm canvas using fluorescent paints that glow under black light. Everyone is given a poncho and overshoes before entering the studio which is a good thing, because by the end, you’ll be covered in colour in the best possible way.

It’s part art workshop, part sensory adventure, and a wonderful way for families to play and create together. You can even book Paint Invaders for a children’s birthday party. See my Guide to Birthday Party Venues in Paris for more venue ideas.

Location: 4 boulevard Poissonnière, 75009 Paris

Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday, 4.30pm–9pm; Saturday, 12.30pm–5pm

Tickets: €39 for adults, €35 for teens ages 13-17, €29 for children ages 6-12. Buy tickets here.

2. Discover Light Cycles, the new nighttime walk trail in La Villette

Visitors of all ages can take a 45- to 60-minute walk through the park, where nature comes alive with light and sound. The experience was created by Moment Factory, the world-renowned multimedia studio behind AURA Invalides, Lumina, and collaborations with Disney and Universal Studios.

Opening hours: from 6pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

3. Go indoor surfing at Wave in Paris

wave in paris-paris with kids-the knowledge nuggets

Wave in Paris is the city’s first indoor static wave complex, brings the beach to Paris with Flowrider technology, a system that projects water at high speed over an inclined surface to create a continuous, surfable wave.

The 16-by-10-metre pool uses adjustable pumps, meaning beginners and experienced riders can surf side by side. Kids as young as four can try bodyboarding on one side while adults flowboard on the other. The water stays around 27°C and the centre is open all year long.

Location: 107 rue de la Croix-Nivert, 75015 Paris

Opening hours: 8.30am-11pm Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am-8pm on weekends and public holidays.

Tickets: €35 per person. Buy your tickets here.

4. Watch the family circus show Arbre

arbre spectacle-paris with kids

Cirque Bormann’s big striped tent stands next to Parc André-Citroën in the 15ᵉ arrondissement. Inside, the circus show Arbre mixes classic circus tricks with modern lights and video. For 90 minutes you see jugglers, acrobats and horse riders move around a glowing “tree of life.” Sparkling chandeliers and colourful projections make the whole space feel magical. The Bormann family has run this circus for eight generations and Arbre tells their story. The tree on stage shows their deep roots and how the circus has grown from old-style acts to today’s high-tech performances.

Seating is comfortable, and children aged 3 and over need their own ticket. Those under three may attend free if they sit on an adult’s lap.

Location: Chapiteau Bormann, 5 rue Lucien Bossoutrot, 75015 Paris

Opening hours: Performances at 3pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and every afternoon during French school holidays.

Tickets: €15-€45 depending on seating category. Buy your tickets here.

5. Join the Paris Sausage Walk

paris sausage walk

The Paris Sausage Walk returns on 16 November 2025, bringing an overload of cuteness to the banks of the Seine. Now in its sixth edition, this is a joyful parade of dachshunds, affectionately nicknamed “sausages on legs”.

From 11am to 1pm, hundreds of dogs and their humans will stroll together from the Esplanade David Ben Gourion (opposite the Musée du quai Branly) toward the Port de Solférino, across from the Musée d’Orsay, before looping back to the start — a 3.8 km round trip. The event supports Teckels Sans Doux Foyer (Dachshunds Without a Home), with all proceeds from the morning’s dachshund-themed goodies going to the association. No registration is needed — simply show up, and join the parade of wagging tails.

Location: David Ben Gourion esplanade, opposite the Musée du quai Branly, near the RER C exit.

Date: 16 November 2025, from 11am to 1pm along the banks of the river Seine.

6. Watch a family show at La Scene Parisienne

la scene parisienne

One great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family is to catch a show at La Scène Parisienne. The theatre has shows for all ages and there are always family-friendly shows on offer. At the moment, there is Le loup est revenu!, a lively adaptation of Geoffroy de Pennart’s children’s book that’s been running for 15 seasons. There’s also Lison et Léon, la grotte enchantée, an interactive musical adventure where kids help the characters find their way through a magical cave. Younger children will enjoy Pin, Pon, les petits monstres, a playful and musical show full of laughter and gentle surprises. The performances are all in French and last about 50-60mins.

Location: 34 Rue Richer, 75009 Paris

Tickets: Tickets range from €11 to €18 per person depending on the show. Buy your tickets here.

7. Visit the planetarium at the Science Museum

planetarium paris

One of my favourite museums in Paris for kids is the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie. Located in the green space of Parc de la Villette, this huge science museum is packed with interactive exhibits and hands-on experiments that keep children of all ages curious and engaged.

The planetarium is inside the science museum and offers shows that mix science and storytelling, projected onto a giant 360° dome. Programs are available for all ages — from gentle introductions to the stars for young children to more detailed shows about planets and galaxies for older kids and adults. Read Visiting the Cité des Sciences in Paris with Kids to see what else the science museum has to offer to families.

    Location: 30 Avenue Corentin-Cariou, 75019 Paris

Opening hours: 10am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday; 10am – 7pm on Sunday

Tickets: Buy your tickets for Cité des Enfants here in advance of your visit. The combined ticket for all the exhibitions and the Planetarium costs €15 for adults and €12 for those under 25.

    8. Visit a Digital Art exhibition at the Musée en Herbe

Head to the Musée en Herbe to explore a digital art exhibition by Miguel Chevalier, inspired by the mysterious world beneath the sea. Kids and adults can wander through glowing sculptures, coral projections, and interactive displays while learning about ocean life and the importance of protecting it.

There are two creative workshops available for children:

    • Les Baby-z’ateliers à 4 mains (For children aged 2.5–5.5): In this parent-child workshop, little ones create three to four small artworks inspired by the exhibition. Sessions are available every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, public holidays, and daily during school holidays. Each workshop lasts about an hour and takes place at 11am and 2pm. The cost is €20 per session (includes one child and one adult).
    • Les Maxi Z’ateliers (For children aged 6–12): This drop-off workshop allows children to explore their creativity through hands-on projects related to the exhibition. Parents do not need to attend. Sessions are available every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, public holidays, and daily during school holidays. The workshop lasts about an hour and runs at 3.30pm and 5pm, with an additional session at 11am on Sundays. The cost is €11.50 per child.

    Location: 23 rue de l’Arbre-Sec, 75001 Paris

Opening hours: every day from 10am to 7pm. The exhibition runs until 4 January 2026.

Tickets: €8 per preson (ages 3+). Buy your tickets here.

    9. Watch My First Ballet: Sleeping Beauty

Take your kids to see My First Ballet: Sleeping Beauty, the newest family show at the Théâtre Mogador from 15 November, 2025. Inspired by Tchaikovsky’s famous score and Perrault’s fairy tale, this ballet introduces children to the magic of classical dance through a shorter, more accessible version of the story. Follow Princess Aurora, the Prince, and the good fairies as they face the wicked Carabosse, played by former Paris Opera Ballet star Karl Paquette. With beautiful costumes, music, and storytelling, it’s a wonderful way to experience ballet as a family.

Location: Théâtre Mogador, 25 Rue de Mogador, 75009 Paris

    Dates: 15 November 2025 – 8 March 2026 (show times 11am, 2.30pm and 3pm)

Tickets: from €29 depending on seating category. Buy your tickets here.

    10. Admire the Christmas lights and window displays

christmas in paris_galeries lafayette_the knowledge nuggets

Christmas might still be weeks away, but Paris starts to sparkle early. By mid November, the Champs-Élysées and Place Vendôme are glowing with lights, and the big department stores unveil their festive window displays. Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, and Le Bon Marché each have their own magical scenes — moving figures, twinkling lights, and plenty of holiday cheer. It’s a simple but lovely way to enjoy the season’s first signs of magic.

Here are five Parisian stores that will be unveiling their festive decorations in November:

    • Printemps Haussmann: In my opinion, the store with the best Christmas window displays has a New York theme this year, starting 6 November 2025.
    • Galeries Lafayette Haussmann: From 12 November, you can admire the 16‑metre Christmas tree under the famous dome, a new pop-up rooftop ice rink, and lavish window displays.
    • La Samaritane: From 5 November 2025, the store will be transformed into a giant gift waiting to be unwrapped, with every space adorned with bows, loops, and ribbons.
    • Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche: Starting 7 November, the store will take on a Christmas market theme, complete with chalets and animated window displays.
    • BHV Marais: From 18 November 2025, the window displays will feature a Christmas dreamland theme, with the traditional light-and-sound show on opening night illuminating the store’s façade.
