Paris in February may be chilly, but that doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of fun activities to enjoy with kids! Whether you’re looking for indoor adventures or seasonal celebrations, the city has plenty to offer. Here is my monthly round-up with some ideas and inspiration for things to do and see in Paris with your kids this February.

1. Celebrate Chinese New Year in Paris

Every year, Chinese New Year celebrations draw large crowds eager to experience the festivities. In 2025, the Lunar New Year begins on Wednesday, 29 January, ushering in the Year of the Snake. Although Chinese New Year starts in January, the celebrations continue into February with parades, lion dances, and cultural performances across Paris.

The biggest annual event is the Chinese New Year Parade in the 13th arrondissement which this year will take place on Sunday, 9 February. The parade kicks off near Tang Frères Asian Supermarket (44 Avenue d’Ivry) and moves along Rue de Tolbiac, Avenue de Choisy, and Boulevard Masséna before returning to its starting point.

Other key celebrations in the city include:

  • Parade on the Champs-ÉlyséesSunday, 2 February, 3pm-5pm: Featuring dragon and lion dances, and a Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) parade, this event starts at 99 Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
  • Faubourg Saint-Honoré ParadeWednesday, 5 February, 12.30pm-2.30pm: Festive red lanterns line the street as lion dancers, dragon performers, and drummers entertain the crowds.
